If you live anywhere in the Northeast, a Disney cruise from New York in 2027 is the announcement you have been waiting on since 2023. The Disney Wish will spend five weeks at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal that fall, running seven sailings to Bermuda, Atlantic Canada, and New England between September 29 and October 31, 2027. No flight to Orlando, no hotel night before embarkation, and, for a lot of families in the tri-state area, a cruise terminal you can reach by train.
General booking opened on September 8, 2026, so the inventory is live and already moving. Here is every sailing, what each one is actually like, and the school-calendar reality nobody in the press release mentions.
Why a Disney Cruise from New York 2027 Is a Big Deal
Disney has sailed from New York before, most recently in fall 2023 on the Disney Dream, but those seasons were short and the ships were older. The 2027 season is the first time a Wish-class ship has been based in the city. The Wish is Disney's most modern design: the Hyperspace Lounge, the Worlds of Marvel dinner show, AquaMouse, and the Frozen and Arendelle dining experience. All Seven Disney Wish Sailings from New York, 2027
Every sailing departs from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in Midtown on the Hudson River. Dates below are departure dates.
Bermuda sailings
- September 29, 2027 — 4 nights to Bermuda. Two days docked at King's Wharf. The shortest and most affordable way to try the ship from New York.
- October 14, 2027 — 5 nights to Bermuda. Two days at King's Wharf with an extra sea day, which is the version to pick if you want more of the ship itself.
- October 19, 2027 — 5 nights to Bermuda. Same pattern as the October 14 sailing, one week later and deeper into the Halloween season.
- October 31, 2027 — 5 nights, Bermuda to San Juan. A one-way sailing: two days at King's Wharf, then the ship continues to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where the cruise ends. You fly home from San Juan. This is how the Wish repositions south for the winter, and it is the only one-way sailing of the season.
Canada and New England sailings
- October 3, 2027 — 5 nights, Canada and New England. Saint John, New Brunswick, then Boston. Saint John is the gateway to the Bay of Fundy tides; Boston is a full city day.
- October 8, 2027 — 6 nights, Bermuda and Canada. The combination itinerary: King's Wharf first, then Halifax, Nova Scotia. Beach and foliage on the same trip.
- October 24, 2027 — 7 nights, Canada. Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island, Sydney on Cape Breton Island, then Halifax. The longest sailing of the season, and the only one with three ports.
Four of those ports — Boston, Saint John, Charlottetown, and Sydney — appear nowhere else on Disney's current schedule, so if one of them is on your list, the New York season is your only route to it.

The honest school-calendar problem
Here is the part the announcement glossed over: none of the seven sailings line up with a long weekend or a school break. They depart on weekdays and weekends alike across late September and October, which in most Northeast districts is uninterrupted school time. Families with school-age children will need to pull kids out for at least three days on even the 4-night sailing. If that is a hard no in your household, the sensible move is to look at the Wish's Florida winter schedule on our sailings page and use New York for a different year.
The flip side is that this makes the New York season unusually good for grandparents, adults sailing without kids, and families with children under school age. The Canada itineraries in particular skew toward that crowd: fall foliage, cool weather, walkable historic ports. It is not a splash-pad cruise, and it does not pretend to be.
If you want a beach
Choose a Bermuda sailing. King's Wharf is the Royal Naval Dockyard on Bermuda's western tip, with a ferry to Hamilton and a short ride to Horseshoe Bay and the other pink-sand beaches. Two full days docked means you can do a beach day and a town day without rushing. Water temperatures in late September and early October are still comfortable for swimming; by late October it is cooler, so the September 29 and October 14 sailings are the safer beach bets.
If you want foliage and cities
Choose October 24. Seven nights, three ports, and the timing lands squarely in peak color for Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. Charlottetown is a small, walkable capital; Sydney is the jumping-off point for the Cabot Trail; Halifax has the waterfront boardwalk and the Maritime Museum. Bring layers — daytime highs in the 50s are normal that week.
If you want the most unusual trip
Choose October 31. Ending in San Juan means you can tack on a few days in Old San Juan or Puerto Rico's beaches before flying home, and the one-way structure tends to attract a quieter, more experienced cruising crowd. Just budget for the one-way flights on both ends.
Practical Planning Notes for Sailing from Manhattan
Getting to the terminal. The Manhattan Cruise Terminal sits on the West Side between roughly West 46th and West 54th Streets. It is a short taxi or rideshare from Penn Station and Grand Central, and a straightforward drive with on-site parking, though parking is expensive and the West Side Highway backs up on turnaround mornings. Arrive early. Passports. Bermuda and Canada both require travel documents, and the one-way San Juan sailing complicates the closed-loop rules further. Bring a valid passport for everyone in the party and do not rely on a birth certificate.
Weather. The North Atlantic in October can be lively. If anyone in your group is prone to seasickness, a midship stateroom on a lower deck is worth the request, and the Bermuda sailings involve a full day of open ocean in each direction.

Will Prices Drop If You Wait?
Probably not by much. Disney's pricing model raises fares as staterooms sell, and the Wish's Europe season showed that when this class of ship goes somewhere new, demand follows the ship. The seven-night Canada sailing and the one-way to San Juan have no equivalents elsewhere in the fleet, so those two have the least reason to soften. Verandah and connecting staterooms go first on every Disney launch, and the mid-ship rooms people want for a choppy Atlantic go earlier still. If a New York sailing is on your radar, the practical advice is to lock in the stateroom you want now and let your advisor watch for any fare adjustments afterward.
